Sentence Scramble Christmas Fun- Cut and Paste Worksheets
Description
Build sentence skills with a little holiday cheer. This Christmas sentence scramble gives young learners numbered word and picture cards to put in the right order to make a sentence. Then they move on to cut-and-paste pages where they order the words again on paper. It’s a ready-made literacy center for December that children can come back to again and again.

Classroom tips
Store each sentence’s cards in a small bag or envelope so the center stays organized. Model one sentence with the whole class first, reading each word as you place it. Ask: “Does that sound right? Where does the capital letter go? What goes at the end?” Early finishers can read their sentences to a partner. At home, one sentence a day is a nice short practice before or after school.
Skills practiced
- Sentence structure and word order
- Reading simple sentences with picture support
- Capital letters and end punctuation
- Cutting and gluing
You’ll need scissors and glue or tape. A laminator is optional.
